AT THE AIRPORT
Just landed at Narita? Find your next step.
Keep your first goal simple: get yourself and your luggage to your accommodation. Save sightseeing for after you have settled in.
Before leaving the arrivals area
Follow the airport’s instructions through the required arrival procedures. Once you are through, pause to check these four things:
- Your destination: can you open your hotel address without an internet connection?
- Your connection: do you have a working way to contact your accommodation?
- Your payment: do you have an alternative if your preferred method fails?
- Your transport: have you checked the terminal, departure point and final stop?
Make a plan for delays
Save your accommodation’s contact details ahead of time. If your arrival is delayed, ask about late check-in and revisit your transport plan instead of rushing toward an unconfirmed connection.
Ask for a specific destination
When seeking directions, show the actual address or station name. A screenshot is often more useful than trying to describe an unfamiliar place from memory.
